What can you expect?

This 4 hour instructor lead - online training introduces the concept of Asterisk cluster, specially Active/Passive setups and provides hands-on practice material to enable the students to build their own clusters after the training.

This course is designed for Asterisk administrators that need to understand the architecture and technology to build high-availability Asterisk clusters for the enterprise.

Skills taught:

  • identify pro and con of an active/passive cluster
  • choose the “right” hardware
  • partition your asterisk servers
  • install and configure DRBD and Heartbeat
  • install and configure DRBDLINKS
  • test the cluster
  • monitor the cluster

Requirements:
1) The workshop will be conducted via DimDim session therefore you need a internet connection and a DimDim compliant PC / Notebook.
2) Participants need basic know-how of Linux and Asterisk.
