SMS Modem
We use a Siemens MC39i OEM USB modem for sending SMS alerts from Nagios. This modem will be connected via USB port to your Nagios appliance.
You can use any standard SIM card as long its not a 3G SIM!
To send SMS out of Nagios we simple add a send-sms-notification command into your Nagios configuration files. Then you can configure the alerting in the same way as you would configure e-mail alerts in Nagios. |
