AsterConferenceAsia 2010
Intuit and Asterisk. 2010.
A continuous love affair. 3 official dates.
Paris: 14th April. Kuala Lumpur: 18th May. Washington: 26th October
Paris was our first date of the year and Intuit got a frank success with Dr. Daniel presentation on “Large Enterprise Asterisk Cluster”.
Now, back home, for our second yearly date, Intuit presented during AsterConferenceAsia 2010 in Kuala Lumpur to a vibrant mix of Asterisk enthusiasts, from business to social activists, to developers. This conference put together a panel of regional and local speakers to share knowledge and expertise on the potential and benefits of what Asterisk can bring to corporations of all sizes. Targeting both potential and existing user audiences across various industries, this conference is aiming at helping the audience to have a wider understanding of what Asterisk is, its powerful and cost-saving applications, the potential of Asterisk, the Asterisk roadmap, the future of Asterisk, and hear testimonies of how companies have benefited greatly from it.
Intuit ended up the 1st day of conference with a presentation on “Asterisk: Business Integrated Communication platform”, and calling upon unity among the Asterisk community. The message was pretty clear that the Asterisk community should get united to be able to face, as fairly as possible, the branded competition. Indeed, the big names have budgets to present their products and solutions to the public; we, as Asterisk community, have to market ourselves better. We do not beneficiate from internal budgets; we are on our own to market ourselves and, therefore, need extra efforts, extra ingenuity, with focus on global messages. This will reinforce our common visibility and our reliability towards the final customers. They probably think there are too many spin offs to Asterisk, that is it not a serious solution, that it is a Mickey Mouse solution!!!! Would you even believe that!!! J
Intuit wants to take Asterisk beyond and back-end, at the heart of the companies that we are working with. Asterisk integration needs to be a crucial key into customer processes. We need to make it a central component which connects and integrates with various other systems in the organisation. We will deploy Asterisk in a way that it contributed to the bottom line of the organisation.
Dr. Daniel concluded his powerful presentation by 3 relevant projects Intuit worked on: Mimos, Maxis , and our favourite, the US Army. Basically, either you are an SME, or an NMC, an NGO or a governmental organisation, you won’t escape Asterisk, you won’t escape Intuit.
What will be Intuit and Asterisk new and 3rd date about in the USA? Keep checking on us? It is always about novelty. It is always about trust. It is always about reliability.
